This week’s memory verse is Romans 12:1-2.

Sorry for the delay in getting this week’s memory verse up.  It is now updated on the site.  Oh well, next week is another week!  I’ll get it right next time!

By the way, this is one of the Master Life memorization verses as was last weeks.

Blessings!

Bill

P.S. – This blog uses an automatic verse look-up function that is tied to the ESV translation.  I am trying to stay consistent with that translation but I think I prefer the NIV version of this verse so feel free to memorize this version instead.  I think it is the version we memorized in Master Life classes last year.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This Week’s Memory Verse: Philippians 2:13

Insert your Google Ads Here! This week’s Bible memorization verse is:

Philippians 2:13 “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”

Even if you don’t read the Bible every day you could try to memorize a bit of scripture.  Better yet, you could work on memorizing scripture with your family.  What a great way to execute your role as the spiritual leader of the home.  Look at what God has to say about scripture memorization:

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Write this weeks memorization verse on a piece of paper for you and each member of your house and encourage all to carry it with them through out the week.  Write it on a dry erase board on the fridge, in the bathroom and/or any number of higly visable areas.  Challenge your family to join you in scripture memorization.  Discuss it over meals, as you get ready in the morning and prepare for bed each nite.  Maybe there will be a contest to see who can get it first or a small reward for everyone who accomplishes the task.  It’s your family – Be the Man!!!
