To Which Family Do You Belong?
In today’s reading we hear some genealogy. Have you noticed that genealogy seems to be important to God? We read of various genealogies throughout the Bible, Old Testament and New. Where you come from is important. It has a lot to do with where you are going. That is why I am so happy to have been adopted into the family of God.
I used to be a child of sin; now I am a child of the living God. Where I once was headed toward eternal death, I am now headed toward eternal life. I know where you are from too. The only question is where are you going? If you are not a child of the Living God you can be if you will submit your life to the authority of Christ. If you’ve already joined the family then let me encourage you to remember whose you are. Remember what is expected of you and remember to act in a way that brings honor and glory to your Father.
Have a blessed day!
Your brother and servant in Christ,
Dying to self, living to serve!
